Profile

Ask him why he chose performing orthopedic surgery as a career, and Dr. Hans Moller flashes back to a time 35 years ago when he asked one of his mentors the same question. The answer is “I take care of people who have been injured or wearing out, and have great fun providing this service.”

Dr. Moller has worked at the Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic since 1984, and all the while has lived by the same mantra.

“Providing care and participating in patients’ healing is the most rewarding part of orthopedic surgery,” he said. “Whether this is a young child or an adult, an injury or fracture situation, or reconstruction of a worn hip or knee, applying my expertise and engendering patient confidence is its own reward.”

A native of Cleveland, Dr. Moller did his internship and residency in that city at Case Western Reserve University. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has served as the director of the fracture program at St. Vincent Hospital since 2006.

Dr. Moller treats a full range of orthopedic patients, with special interest in pediatric injuries, adult hip and knee reconstruction, and geriatric fractures. As of December 2015, Dr. Moller has eliminated his elective practice to focus on Fracture + Trauma work.

Married with five children, he enjoys working closely with patients and working toward a successful outcome.

“Every patient, every injury is a unique story,” he says.
