With an engineering background that is part of his approach to and his enjoyment of orthopedics, Dr. James Davitt treats a variety of orthopedic issues and sports injuries. “I love working with my hands,” he says. “And I’ve always tried to treat not only symptoms, but the root cause. I enjoy communicating the process and potential solutions with patients.”
Dr. Davitt graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering before attending the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his residency at the University of Utah and went on to complete a one-year fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at the University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center. He has expertise and a special interest in the evolving field of ankle replacement as well as ankle and knee reconstruction and sports injuries.
When he is not at work, he enjoys snowboarding and hiking with his family and coaching his two sons in a wide variety of sports.
