Profile

Born and raised in Colorado, Dr. Nicole Look developed an early love for the outdoors and an active lifestyle. As a multi-sport athlete, she sustained several injuries requiring surgery, which in turn introduced her to orthopedic surgery and a personal connection to how musculoskeletal ailments can greatly impact quality of life.

She completed her undergraduate education in applied mathematics at the University of Colorado and graduated as valedictorian with summa cum laude honors. During this time, she was a NCAA Division I athlete on the cross country and track and field teams. Dr. Look then went on to medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine where she was selected as a junior and a senior member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society based on academic merits. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Colorado before going onto to receiving advanced sub-specialized training in spine surgery at the University of Wisconsin. Throughout her higher education, she focused much of her research on analyzing human walking patterns with mathematical models. This provided an additional foundation for understanding how changes to the human body, especially those that are painful, can greatly impact a simple human function such as walking.

Her personal experiences with injuries as a young athlete and compassionate demeanor allow Dr. Look to help navigate treatment plans for her patients, both surgical and non-surgical. Dr. Look’s practice focuses on neck and back conditions, fractures of the upper and lower extremities, and general orthopedics. She is a member of the North American Spine Society, Orthopedic Trauma Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

In her free time, she enjoys landscape photography while exploring the outdoors with her husband. Additionally, she is an avid swimmer, runner, and hiker.
