Dr. Brian Bettencourt serves as the official team physician for the University of Portland, providing comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care to Portland Pilots student athletes. He works closely with athletes, athletic trainers, coaches, and sports performance staff to evaluate injuries, guide treatment, and help athletes safely return to competition.
About University of Portland Athletics:
The University of Portland is Oregon's only comprehensive university, offering programs in business, education, engineering, nursing, the College of Arts and Sciences, and graduate studies. Its NCAA Division I athletic program competes in the West Coast Conference as the Portland Pilots, fielding 16 varsity teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, rowing, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and indoor and beach volleyball.

Dr. Brian Bettencourt serves as a team physician for Pacific University Oregon in Forest Grove, providing comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care to Pacific Boxers student athletes. He works closely with athletes, athletic trainers, coaches, and sports performance staff to evaluate injuries, guide treatment, and help athletes safely return to competition. Dr. Bettencourt joined the Pacific Athletic Training medical staff in 2013.
About Pacific University Athletics:
Pacific University sponsors 24 NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic programs. The Pacific Boxers compete in the Northwest Conference, a league the university helped establish in 1926. Varsity sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, volleyball, and wrestling, with select junior varsity programs also available.
