Dr. Jocelyn Compton grew up in a family of engineers and physicians, so it came as no surprise that she felt right at home as an orthopedic surgeon. She has employed her curious and inquisitive nature in treating a variety of orthopedic patients, believing they all deserve unique consideration and creative solutions. She enjoys collaborating and tailoring treatment to patients’ goals. “There is nothing better than doing what I love to help patients do what they love,” says Dr. Compton.

Dr. Jocelyn Compton grew up in a family of engineers and physicians, so it came as no surprise that she felt right at home as an orthopedic surgeon. She has employed her curious and inquisitive nature in treating a variety of orthopedic patients, believing they all deserve unique consideration and creative solutions. She enjoys collaborating and tailoring treatment to patients’ goals. “There is nothing better than doing what I love to help patients do what they love,” says Dr. Compton.

Dr. Compton completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Yale University, medical degree at Columbia University, residency at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, and fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. During her training, she dedicated time to investigating the cellular mechanisms of fracture healing and cartilage regeneration. Dr. Compton’s practice focuses on hand and upper extremity conditions, but also includes trauma, fractures, and general orthopedics.

Dr. Compton likes spending time with her husband and daughter exploring new places, especially the outdoors and food scene. She is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and serves on the Public Education Committee.
