Meet Hannah F. Aultman, MD

For Dr. Hannah Aultman, the first step with each patient is always the same – get to know one another. “Each patient’s personal situation is different, and their goals are unique. They might be focused on their job or a hobby or just a baseline level of function. And each treatment option we might consider brings its own challenges. Once I understand what’s important to them, and they understand the range of treatment approaches and what they entail, we’re then able to work together to build the best plan for them.”

Born and raised in Portland, Dr. Aultman is thrilled to be practicing in the Pacific Northwest. She completed her undergraduate degree at Yale University, medical school at Tufts University, residency in orthopedic surgery at OHSU here in Portland, and fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Chicago. Her practice focuses primarily on hand and upper extremity surgery, but also includes Trauma/Fractures and General Orthopedics. Dr. Aultman especially enjoys getting to work with patients of all ages and from all walks of life.

In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband, whether they’re hiking in the Gorge, skiing at Mt. Hood, or going for a run in Forest Park.

Dr. Aultman was named a Top Doctor by Portland Monthly Magazine in 2025 and 2026, recognizing her expertise in orthopedic surgery and patient care.
