Born and raised in the PNW I think of myself as a passionate individual, providing the best physical therapy experience possible for each and every patient.
In the clinic, I bring more than 30 years of professional experience to help create a positive and effective therapy experience for each individual. The patient in front of me is the most important patient at that moment.
By listening with compassion and focus, I aim first to understand each patient—their story, their goals, and their challenges—so I can provide care that aligns with their expectations, needs and what matters to them the most.
For the past 25 years, I have used the McKenzie Method (link to McKenzie Website), which emphasizes ongoing re-evaluation, specific exercises, manual therapy and patient education. This approach helps identify the source of symptoms, guide recovery, and empower patients to prevent problems from returning. My goal is for each patient to gain a clearer understanding of what their body is capable of and give confidence to maintain long-term health.
Athletics has also been a lifelong passion. I began as a summer league swimmer, raced bicycles at the Marymoor Velodrome and eventually transitioned into running and triathlon.
I have competed in nearly 200 triathlons all over the world, including two Kona Ironman World Championships and multiple amateur World Championships. I spent two years as a professional triathlete with two top-five finishes in the United States Triathlon Series.
Over the years, my athletic pursuits have evolved from head to head racing to more pass/fail type of endeavors. Including running Rim-to-Rim across the Grand Canyon, swimming the length of Lake Tahoe and circumnavigating Mt. St. Helens in a single day.
These athletic and professional experiences shape my appreciation for performance, resilience, and helping others return to the activities they enjoy.
