Amber Brown, M.S., ATC, OTC

Amber was first exposed to athletic training after sustaining an injury while playing volleyball in high school. She decided to pursue it as a career after taking a sports medicine class, which she really enjoyed. Amber went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, where she worked with the softball and football teams as well as Provo High School. Amber was then hired at Cognitive FX, a post-concussion treatment center in Provo, where she worked with an amazing team of providers to help people recover from traumatic brain injuries. This experience helped solidify to Amber that she truly loved helping people improve their quality of life and she knew she had chosen the right career. Amber then moved to Athens, Ohio where she earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio University. While there, she worked as the head athletic trainer for Athens High School as part of her graduate assistantship. She also spent a summer season working as the athletic trainer for the Southern Ohio Copperheads, a member of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League.

Amber has a passion for patient education and strives to make sure her patients fully understand what’s going on with their bodies and how they can get better. Amber was so excited when she found that she was accepted to the Athletic Training Residency Program at O+FS and couldn’t have been happier to come to the Pacific Northwest. When she’s not working, Amber loves to spend time with her husband and dog, exploring Portland & going for walks and hikes on its many beautiful trails.
