The median nerve runs through a narrow opening, a tunnel, in the writst, and anything that squeezes or irritates the median nerve can cause changes to sensations in the palm, thumb, and all fingers except the little finger. The resulting pain, numbness, and tingling from irritation of the median nerve is called carpal tunnel syndrome, or CTS.
Frozen Shoulder is an inflammatory condition that causes fibrous tissue to form around the shoulder joint. That extra tissue limits the motion of the joint causing pain and stiffness. Frozen shoulder can occur when a shoulder joint isn’t used much, for example, after breaking an arm or recovering from rotator cuff surgery.
