Dr. Jocelyn T. Compton

As Dr. Rolf Sohlberg retired this past June, he personally selected Dr. Jocelyn Compton to take over his Hand + Wrist + Elbow practice, joining Dr. McPherson Beall and Dr. Hannah Aultman.

Dr. Jocelyn Compton comes to Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists after completing her fellowship  in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Growing up in a family of  engineers and physicians, Dr. Compton feels right at home as an orthopedic surgeon. After  completing her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Yale University, she went on to pursue her medical degree at Columbia University and residency at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics before going on to do her fellowship.

Dr. Compton has employed her curious and inquisitive nature in treating a variety of orthopedic patients, believing they all deserve unique consideration and creative solutions. She enjoys  collaborating and tailoring treatment to patients’ goals. “There is nothing better than doing what I love to help patients do what they love,” says Dr. Compton. Besides Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, her scope of practice includes Trauma/Fractures and General Orthopedics.
