Profile

Halle Mercier has always felt drawn to the world of sports medicine. She was a four-sport athlete in high school. Her high school did not have an athletic trainer on staff, which hindered her recovery from a sports injury. Because of this she knew she wanted to pursue athletic training as a profession to help other athletes who might be struggling through their injuries.

She was born and raised in Minnesota and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as part of an accelerated bachelor’s and master’s program in athletic training. During this time, she did rotations in Division 1 women’s volleyball and men’s lacrosse, the emergency room, Children’s Hospital-Wisconsin, and the high school setting.

Her time at Children’s Hospital-Wisconsin piqued her interest in the physician’s practice setting. When she found Orthopedic and Fracture Specialists she knew it would be the best next step in her professional career as a resident. "I knew from the first phone interview that O+FS would be the perfect fit for me and I will never forget the feeling of pure excitement when I was accepted." She has been enjoying exploring all that the PNW has to offer in the city and on the hiking trails.
