Profile
Katheryn was born in Odessa Texas but spent most of her life in Hillsboro Oregon. She always knew she wanted to work in the healthcare field but didn't decide on athletic training until her junior year of college when she learned more about the profession. Her favorite thing about athletic training is the fact that you get to be an easily accessible and immediate line of healthcare for many different types of athletes in many different settings. She says it's the best feeling to connect with so many unique individuals, and know you made a positive impact on their journey whether coming back from an injury or learning to take better care of their bodies.
Katheryn received her Bachelors in Applied Health and Fitness from Portland State University and her Masters in Athletic Training from Baylor University. As a student athletic trainer, she worked with Baylor's football, baseball, women's soccer and acrobatics and tumbling teams as well as local high schools and clinics. After graduating she moved to North Carolina where she worked at Fort Liberty (Bragg) as an athletic trainer for the Army and then moved back to the PNW to be closer to family. In her free time, Katheryn enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, reading, watching reality tv, and spending time with her family and friends.
