Profile

Born and raised in Southern Oregon, Dr. Ryan Thompson graduated Oregon State University with a degree in Biology and a minor in chemistry. After attending Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon he moved to the Midwest, where he completed his physiatry residency at The Ohio State University and his pain fellowship at The University of Iowa.

In his practice, Dr. Thompson emphasizes diagnosis and management of disorders of the spine and peripheral joints. “My most important role as a provider is to help patients understand their diagnosis and give them options on how to manage their pain." he says. He uses non-opioid medications, interventions, therapy modalities, and psychological interventions as necessary.

Dr. Thompson is thrilled to be back home in Oregon and when he is not working he is spending time with his daughter and wife at the Oregon coast, camping, hiking and enjoying all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
