Stephanie Cruz, PTA, CMA

Profile

Stephanie and her family moved to Hillsboro, Oregon in 2014 from Guam, where she was raised. Back home she studied and received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting. She has years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant working alongside physicians in different specialty care clinics.

Her enthusiasm for physical exercise and curiosity for functional movement led her to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. In 2019, Stephanie attended PTA school and worked in outpatient clinics as a physical therapy technician in the Henderson area of Nevada. There, she earned an Associate of Occupational Science degree from Pima Medical Institute and worked as Licensed PTA before returning to Oregon in June 2022.

She is currently focusing her continuing education on Pre/Post-surgical rehabilitation, sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, and manual therapy. In her free time, Stephanie loves to be outdoors enjoying Oregon’s fresh air, trying new foods and playing tag with her boys.
