Matthew, a Minnesota native, discovered his interest in Athletic Training through injuries sustained while competing in Cross Country and Track and Field at Bethel University.

Matthew, a Minnesota native, discovered his interest in Athletic Training through injuries sustained while competing in Cross Country and Track and Field at Bethel University. After graduating from Bethel, Matthew worked at Indiana State University with Women’s Volleyball, and then at University of Massachusetts, Lowell with Women’s Volleyball and Lacrosse. Following a year in New England, Matthew moved to Las Vegas to pursue a Master of Science in Kinesiology, while working with Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive, and Women’s Soccer. After Las Vegas, Matthew relocated to work at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with Women’s Volleyball, Tennis, and Track and Field teams.
Matthew joins Orthopedic + Fracture Specialist as an outreach Athletic Trainer, providing coverage to the University of Portland, Portland Community College, local high schools, and club athletics.
A recent transplant to the Pacific Northwest, Matthew enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with his partner and dog in his free time.
