Kelsey received her bachelor’s degree from the California State University – East Bay where she played collegiate softball. While playing high school and collegiate sports, Kelsey had frequent interactions and help from physical therapists due to various injuries which is when she started to develop her passion. She finds it meaningful to help support patients in regaining function and joy in their daily lives, and understands the intersections among mental, emotional, and physical health.
Kelsey received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Pacific University. While at Pacific, Kelsey started and was voted president of a group dedicated to exploring identity intersections within the field of physical therapy, The Collective for Diversity and Social Justice. Kelsey noticed a lack of education and training in the physical therapy field around marginalized identities, privilege, and oppression, and she finds it meaningful to provide compassionate and quality care to people of diverse backgrounds.
Now that Kelsey has free time again, she enjoys going for bike rides, playing games, going to new restaurants, spending time with her two cats, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
